Yamal LNG send out first LNG batch to Malaysia’s Petronas
MOSCOW, Dec 11 (PRIME) -- Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Yamal LNG has shipped out its first 170,000 cubic meter LNG batch to Petronas LNG UK Ltd, a unit of Malaysia’s Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), independent gas producer Novatek said in a statement on Monday.
According to the port of Sabetta, the first two LNG tankers left the port on December 9. They are to come to the Danish port of Skagen on Sunday.
The Yamal LNG project envisages construction of a 16.5-million-tonne LNG plant on the basis of the Yuzhno-Tambeiskoye field on the Yamal Peninsula. Novatek holds 50.1% in the project, France’s Total has 20%, China’s CNPC owns 20% and China’s Silk Road Fund holds 9.9%.
